iGov, a Federal Systems Integrator (FSI) and Value Added Reseller (VAR), headquartered in Reston, VA, together with NIKSUN, an industry leader in providing a suite of scalable, forensics-based cyber security and network performance monitoring solutions, are pleased to announce that we are supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing a turnkey capability to satisfy DISA Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) requirements for full packet capture (FPCAP), analysis, and retention.
iGov received a Delivery Order contract to provide FPCAP products and associated services on December 15, 2015 in support of the DISA JRSS requirement. DISA, partnering with the U.S. Army and Air Force have fundamentally changed the way the DoD secures and protects its information networks by deploying JRSSs. A JRSS is a suite of equipment that performs firewall functions, intrusion detection and prevention, enterprise management, virtual routing and forwarding (VRF), and provides a host of network security capabilities.
The turnkey features provided by NIKSUN solutions include:
- 100% visibility into the network in real-time
- End-to-end proactive network and application performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- Drill-down forensics analysis
- Integrated performance reports on all traffic
- Unlimited storage that users can extend as their needs grow
- Secure and easy-to-use web interface
- Extensive third party compatibility
iGov’s CEO, Patrick Neven stated, “iGov has a twenty year history of supporting the DoD and we are honored that DISA has placed their trust in us for this effort.” iGov’s SVP of Sales, Jack Pooley added, “At iGov we continue to invest in our Information Security practice in order to better serve our government customers.”
